Buckfast VSH from reproductive queens with 100% VSH. Bees resistant to Varroa. Drones from Buckfast VSH queens enhance hygienic behavior in the hive, resulting in significantly more resilient bee populations within and around it. This certainly won't solve our Varroa problem entirely, although it's essential to note that bees with VSH resistance are less susceptible to diseases and viruses.
The starting point for this Buckfast lineage is Varroa-resistant bees. As a result, we gain bees with robust development, gentleness, and, most importantly, they fully exploit all available forage sources. They store honey in supers without restricting the queens from laying. We will pay special attention to this bee lineage in the coming years."
